Yes, I'm still here.

Well, it's been awhile, right?!? We are still computer-less, and since my parents came home from Sweden, we are no longer able to borrow (mooch) a computer from them. So I apologize for not blogging for FOREVER! We hope to get our computer back tonight. Or maybe tomorrow. Or at least this week sometime!

Until then, I'm stuck with only an iPod to connect me with the Internet at least when I'm home. (I check my email at work, but can't exactly take time to blog.)

And my fingers just aren't very fast when I type on the "keyboard" on the iPod!

So, short story long, I am still here, but am just biding my time until we get our computer back.

...is anyone even out there?

We were busy all weekend in Chicago celebrating my father-in-law Jim's 65th birthday (Jim, I hope you don't mind that I just gave away your age!) We had a really great time, but of course I didn't bring my camera out of it's bag one time. So I don't have pictures. But I am trying to get them. Because I know there are some really good ones of the kids with their faces painted and good ones of them playing in the waterpark in the hotel where we stayed. I'm sure there are plenty of not-so-good pictures with me in them...but I certainly won't be posting any of them here!

Now we're trying to get into the swing of spring. Mainly planting grass and my garden. Neither of which is done yet, both of which I hope to get a good start on before it rains this weekend.

Anyway. We don't have a computer at home for the time being (stupid spyware and stupid viruses) so until my parents leave on vacation next week (and I can confiscate their laptop), I'm forced to go elsewhere to blog. And check my email. And keep up on the blogs that I read. And everything else that I do online. On Wednesday I was trying to find a gluten-free coconut cream pie recipe to make for my dad for his birthday. And I was forced to look at my actual cookbooks. Oh the horror!

a long week

Like the setting sun shows us that the day is ending, I'm so glad that it is Saturday and that this week is ending.

It's been a long one.

I've had a really bad cold that gets exponentially worse when I lay down in bed at night. Causing me to sleep horribly.

Meredith was home sick on Thursday and Friday with strep throat.

Our computer is still on the fritz. If we leave it sit for more than 10-15 minutes, it will freeze up and go to a blue screen. But if I keep working on it, it's just fine (knock on wood.)

It's cold and snowy again, and I'm ready for spring.

It's just been a long week.

So...this is what it's like to not have a computer at home.

How spoiled am I that I can hardly go a day - much less 2 - without a computer and internet?

Please bear with me as we figure out what's wrong with our home computer and figure out what we should do with it.
