Yes We Can!

We were so proud and delighted at the events that transpired on Tuesday, November 4, 2008. Not many people would have guessed back in January what would come to pass 10 months later. (We hoped but dared to believe it could happen.)I had a meeting at church on Tuesday evening, so when I walked into the house and saw the 10-second countdown on CNN, I was thrilled to know that I had walked in on the best part of the whole evening: the projection that Barack Obama was elected to be the next president.

Oh how we wished we could be there to celebrate...Although we can still say we were in a high school gym with only a hundred or two hundred other people and the next President of the United States!
